A good hair dresser is like finding a needle in a haystack. Thankfully I have now found mine.

Last week, I had the pleasure of having my hair treated by balayage king and hair extraordinaire, Jaye Edwards, who beautifully lightened my locks to perfection.

Jaye, based in Sydney's Surry Hills, makes the commute to his new St Kilda salon every few months, so now Melbourne girls can get a piece of the action too.

If you are on the hunt for incredible hair, look no further.

I am a huge supporter of Australian design, and this outfit sports two of my absolute favourites - Lucette, and Faddoul.

Gorgeous fabrics and detailing like these studded cuffs and exquisite prints underpin the design philosophy of both of these Aussie brands and is why I keep coming back for more.

In other news, the countdown to the nuptials, and return to the U S of A is on.

Unlike your traditional bride, I'm off for an overseas adventure, including visits to the States, Mexico and Vancouver, so flights, accommodation and dress decisions have taken over. Mind you, over the weekend, I was treated to some much needed pre-wedding rest and relaxation at The Olsen Hotel.

Definitely just what I needed.

AUGUST STREET

As soon as I set eyes on this incredible blazer by Aussie label, August Street, I had to have it!

The colourful Aztec inspired print, tuxedo collar and coat tails, make it the perfect statement blazer, which looks just as fantastic, dressed down with these boyfriend jeans, as it does dressed up with leather trousers and a silk blouse.

Definitely a wardrobe stand out.

PASTELS AND WHITE JEANS

As mentioned in my last 'all white' outfit post (here), these white J Brand jeans sure are getting a work out lately.

Normally limited to wearing white in the warmer months, I'm finding a new love for dressing for winter in neutrals and pretty pastel colours.

In other exciting news...I'm getting married, which means my life is currently all a whirl with dress choices, bridal celebrations and travel plans.

More on that very soon.

CIRCA VINTAGE

Rarely do you meet people who are as passionate or knowledgeable when it comes to vintage fashion.

During the week, I was kindly invited by Westfield Southland to visit one of their newest retail additions - a vintage pop up store, created by the lovely Nicole Jenkins of Circa Vintage.

Nicole, very well versed in the history of fashion, as well as costume design, showed me through a selection of her carefully curated vintage pieces, reminding me again of why I love vintage shopping so much.

Vintage Gaultier, Comme des Garcons, and a suspected Christian Dior blazer all make an appearance in Nicole's collection - a fashion lovers treat through the decades.

It was my first time to Westfield Southland in Melbourne, and I can say that I was truly impressed at how the traditional retail experience for shoppers has been enhanced with creative and innovative additions like the Circa Vintage pop up.

It was a lovely afternoon of shopping, which combined new fashion trends and fast fashion, with the glamour and elegance of designer vintage pieces of yesteryear.

The Circa Vintage pop up will be up and running until the end of the month, so If you have the chance, go along, have a chat with Nicole and admire some beautiful vintage pieces.

WHITE JEANS

I can't seem to escape my love of layering white lately. There is something so classic and yet so on-trend about crisp white.

My last 'white on white' post experimented more with textures and this time, I opted for a more tailored look, with, always reliable white denim and this incredible statement blazer.

Power shoulders plus a peplum, could you ask for anything more.

WINTER CHILL

The temperature is dropping, as we quickly approach what's set to be a very chilly Australian winter.

During the week, I again teamed up with good friend and photographic extraordinaire, Sabine, to capture my latest cosy winter acquisition.

Away with the sundresses, silk, shorts and shirts, it's now all about chunky knitwear, hats and coats.

If you missed my last post, I'm thrilled to feature in Toni & Guy's latest campaign - Blogged & Bound. You can find out more about the campaign and Friend in Fashion, in the short film created here.

Friend in Fashion Toni and Guy Blogged and Bound

After much ado (here) and (here), I am thrilled to present you with the final photos and short film I was involved in for the Toni & Guy Blogged and Bound project.

This amazing creative collaboration first kicked off in March, so I've been eagerly awaiting the final results to share with you.

So what is Blogged and Bound all about? The project pulled together 20 of Australia's most influential fashion bloggers to explore the connection between hair and style through photos and film. Each blogger's photos will appear in a beautifully bound book and the short films, which further explore each bloggers style, inspiration and motivation features on Youtube.

'Classic' was the theme of my photo shoot - which represents one of the four Toni & Guy hair collections featured in the project. Houndstooth twin set and a modern twist on the bee-hive pretty much nails the brief I think.

Friend in Fashion meets Audrey Hepburn, meets Miss Dior!

I was thrilled to have my outfit captured by my favourite Australian street style photographer Lee Oliveira, as well as this killer shoe detail shot by Liz Mcleish.

I'm so excited to soon share the short film I was involved in for the Toni & Guy 'Blogged & Bound' project. Check back Friday for your first look.
